Sydney Wissel

Spokane County chair, Sydney Wissel, is a lifetime libertarian who grew up in Seattle, Washington. She relocated to unincorporated Spokane County in 2020 with her husband, daughter, mother, three cats and a dog.   A card-carrying member since 2001, Sydney has experienced the difficulty of complying with government regulation as she has been self-employed in healthcare, retail and as an artist.  In 2018 she ran for State Representative as a Libertarian in Washington’s 36th district.  In 2019 she served on the board of the Libertarian Party of King County as Event Director.  When not fighting for freedom, she enjoys taking care of her family, gardening and remodeling her house.
