OUR MISSION

Our mission is to reduce the size and scope of intrusive government providing an environment for community members to take personal responsibility through self-regulation.
We aim to empower Libertarian candidates and activists to reach their full potential. As well as empower the Spokane community to find and implement voluntary solutions.
We will work to create an innovative support network to assist Libertarian candidates to attract more members and inspire new candidates to run for office.
Our goal is to use our campaigns and initiatives to increase critical thinking, to help protect and promote liberty and individual freedoms.

DECORUM

At all times we will use positive decorum when communicating within our organization and to other members of the community. We pledge to follow the rules laid out in the book, “How to Win Friends and Influence People,” especially during disagreements.
To accomplish our mission and win elections/gain support we must be able to communicate in a way that attracts people to our side and reject communicating using vulgar language and insults.

Jo Jorgensen for president

We have a choice!Next presidential election, we don’t have to decide between two big-spending candidates, neither of whom has expressed much interest in limited government.
Now, we have a third serious choice. This week, Dr. Jo Jorgensen, a psychology lecturer at Clemson University, won the Libertarian Party’s presidential nomination.
OK, I won’t delude myself — a libertarian is unlikely to become president. But Jorgensen’s platform is a refreshing change.
She correctly points out that government “is too big, too bossy, too nosy, and way too intrusive.”

Anthony Welti for WA State insurance commissioner

I seek a world of liberty: a world in which all individuals are sovereign over their own lives and are not FORCED to sacrifice their values for the benefit of others.
I believe that respect for individual rights is the essential precondition for a free and prosperous world, that force and fraud must be banished from human relationships, and that only through FREEDOM can PEACE and PROSPERITY be realized.
Consequently, I defend each person’s right to engage in any activity that is peaceful and honest, and welcome the diversity that freedom brings. The world I seek to help build is one where individuals are free to follow their own DREAMS in their own ways, and where government only steps in to protect your rights, not to deny them.
